Cheetah Travel Centre is seeking expressions of interest from a qualified and experienced Religious Scholar (ʿĀlim / Sheikh / Ustadh) to accompany and guide our Umrah group in the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will provide spiritual guidance, deliver religious talks, and support pilgrims throughout their Umrah journey to ensure a meaningful and well-organised experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide religious guidance, spiritual motivation, and educational sessions during the journey.
• Lead group prayers and conduct short lectures or Q&A sessions related to Umrah rites and Islamic teachings.
• Assist pilgrims in performing Umrah rituals correctly in accordance with Sunnah.
• Offer general pastoral care and moral support to group members.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
• Recognised Islamic studies qualification (e.g., from a Darul Uloom, Islamic university, or recognised institution).
• Sound knowledge of Fiqh related to Umrah and Hajj.
• Strong communication and public speaking skills in English (Arabic/Urdu beneficial).
• Prior experience leading or accompanying Umrah/Hajj groups (preferred but not essential).
• Ability to travel from Melbourne or Sydney during the designated Umrah period.
• Demonstrated good character, patience, and approachability when dealing with diverse groups.
